Open Pool Policies

General Information

The pool at Anderson Aquatics, LLC is available for patrons of all abilities and fitness levels to  participate in independent exercise, also known as “open pool.” All members of the community (ages 18 & over) are able to use the pool during open pool hours, and no prescription is necessary. Patrons should be respectful of staff and other clients during shared pool times. Private personal training or therapy clients will be given priority for equipment, space, and music selection during times of shared usage.

Patrons must be able to access the pool independently to attend open pool. If a patron requires a caregiver/assistant to enter or exit the pool, perform aquatic exercise, and/or to don/doff equipment, they must bring an assistant. If a lifeguard deems a patron unsafe in the pool, the individual must bring a caregiver to assist them in subsequent sessions. This decision is at the discretion of the lifeguard on duty.

All participants are subject to the pool rules listed on our website and posted at Anderson Aquatics, LLC, and the rules are enforced by the lifeguard on duty. All staff members reserve the right to refuse service if a participant is not following pool rules or if the lifeguard on duty feels the participant’s safety is at risk.

Most pool equipment is available for patrons’ use. If additional equipment is needed, patrons must ask a staff member to obtain equipment from the storage cabinets; patrons are not allowed to access cabinets on their own. While patrons are also welcome to bring their own equipment (such as flotation belts or gloves), Anderson Aquatics, LLC is not responsible for injuries resulting from damaged/broken equipment.

Anderson Aquatics, LLC is not designed to be a lap pool. A swim tether (provided) must be used if participants wish to swim.

Open pool sessions are up to 45 minutes in duration and start at the top of the hour. Patrons may enter the pool up to 5 minutes early at the discretion of the lifeguard on duty. Patrons must exit the pool as soon as their open pool session ends and may not wait in the pool until a shower becomes available.

Children under the age of 18 are permitted to participate in open pool.

Independent contractors may not use the pool to work with clients. This includes (but is not limited to): swim instructors, personal trainers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, chiropractors, yoga instructors, pilates instructors, and massage therapists.

Registration

Participants must register for open pool beforehand in-person, via phone, or (preferably) online via mindbodyonline.com or the Mindbody app. There are no standing reservations. Registration opens on the 20th for the following month (i.e. on January 20, clients can begin registering for the entire month of February).

Each open pool session is capped at a certain number of patrons to ensure there is adequate pool space. If all slots are taken, clients may sign up for a waitlist, and if an opening becomes available, they will be notified by email (and/or by phone) and added to the schedule.

Wait List, No Show, & Cancellation Policies

Patrons must cancel open pool reservations with at least 24 hours’ notice in order to avoid a late/no show charge of $15. If a client has a prepaid open pool package, 1 session will be deducted from the package in lieu of the $15 fee. Clients with an unlimited monthly open pool package who no show or late cancel three times (or more) in any given month will be prohibited from purchasing unlimited packages in the future.

Waitlisted individuals have the option to show up for open pool and wait to see if all registered participants arrive. If a space is available at 5 minutes past the open pool start time, the waitlisted client may enter the pool. If a client arrives > 5 minutes late and a waitlisted individual has taken their slot, they will be refused entry but will not be charged.

Payment

Payment is due prior to entering the pool and can be made with cash, check, or credit card. All open pool packages expire two months from date of purchase with no exceptions. Packages may not be placed on “hold” or shared, nor may package credits be transferred to other pool programs.
