Aqua Body Work
Imagine yourself floating in a 92-degree pool for your next massage or stretch session! Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and relax! The healing properties of water naturally lend themselves to massage and body work. Buoyancy promotes ease of movement, while immersion in warm water fosters pain relief and relaxation.
Let’s Get Started!
SCHEDULE A SESSION: To sign up for a floating body work session, please call or email us directly.
WHAT TO EXPECT: After entering the pool, your therapist will use buoyancy equipment to float you comfortably on your back and ask you about any specific areas that might need more attention (A stiff lower back? Tight hamstrings? Increased tension in your shoulder and neck muscles?). For the next 20-30 minutes, you may close your eyes and relax as your therapist uses various hands-on techniques, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and stress-free!
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? A 1-hour session (up to 30 minutes of bodywork, followed by up to 30 minutes of free time to exercise or float on your own) is $60. Alternately, a 1-hour session of bodywork and personal training is available for $125.
FAQ
Is this covered by my insurance?
No. Floating body work is not considered a “medical” service. It is an out-of-pocket expense, and a doctor’s prescription is not required.
Who is the “massage therapist”?
Your relaxation rests in the hands of Breanna Anderson, PT. Breanna is NOT a massage therapist but has close to 20 years of experience working as an aquatic physical therapist. She can use a combination of soft tissue massage, passive stretching, Bad Ragaz, Aqua Stretch, and Watsu techniques to achieve your treatment goals.
How long is the session?
Your appointment is booked for 60 minutes and includes up to 30 minutes of body work. The remaining time can be spent on your own (performing exercise, deep water traction, floating, etc.).
Can I choose to have the body work at the end of my hour session? Or is always done at the top of the hour?
We will do our best to accommodate your requests, but please let us know in advance.
